It depends on the film. For day and night privacy, a frosted window film is the best solution, providing permanent privacy. A one way mirror window film however would only provide privacy during the day, under the right light conditions.

What is one way mirror film?
One way mirror film can be applied to your windows to provide privacy during daylight hours. The film works on light ratio, the lighter and brighter the outside, the more mirrored the effect will be when viewed from outside, yet still allowing clear visibility from inside. At night time the blinds or curtains can simply be drawn to take over from the mirror film. These films are a great alternative to Frosted window films, if you prefer to keep visibility from inside.
